Vertical Aerospace is building technology to revolutionise how people fly and believes passionately in the power of electric flight to change the way the world travels. We are looking for an accounts payable assistant to join our small finance team.  The candidate will manage the purchase ledger.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Management of the purchase ledger to cover all activities, include processing invoices, credit notes & preparing payments
  • Managing & building strong internal & external relationships
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Reconciliation of the creditors control account & preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Ensure correct set up of suppliers on the ERP system
  • Employee expenses payment preparation
  • Adherence to the internal control environment, financial process & controls
  • Assistance in the preparation of the quarterly VAT returns where required
  • Ad hoc financial reporting as required

Basic Qualifications/Experience

  • AAT qualified
  • General accounting
  • Strong numeracy & excel skills

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

  • AAT qualified
  • Experience working in an established accounts team, ideally in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience of ERP system & advanced Excel skills
