We’re looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join our fast-growing company. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in Quality Management Systems within a highly regulated environment (aerospace, defence, automotive or similarly regulated industry), ideally within a start-up environment. The candidate must be capable of working autonomously within a highly technical environment, able to communicate at all levels and ensure quality initiatives are well embedded in the company culture.


Duties will be wide ranging and varied and will include:

  • Maintenance of standard processes to support working activities (e.g. manufacturing processes, work instructions),
  • Deliver within the confines of AS9100D, EASA Part 21,
  • Support the maintenance of the Group’s VMS (QMS, DAS, PMS elements),
  • Utilising quality tools (Control plans, FAIRs, process flows, cost of quality, SPC)
  • Involvement in NPI,
  • Maintain equipment calibration schedule and records,
  • Monitor nonconformity register and ensure mitigation plans are in place to close off actions, where necessary,
  • Monitor suppliers and sub-contractors with regards to quality assurance and quality control,
  • Incoming and in-process inspection activities,
  • Conduct and/or support audits in both internal and external environments,
  • Conduct and coordinate root cause analysis activities (using 5 Whys, 8D etc),
  • Support the control of NCP and Quarantine Store,
  • Collate KPI metrics and reports for further analysis,
  • Identify and champion continual improvement activities.



  • 3+ years in Quality Assurance / Control
  • 5+ years of working within defined Quality Management Systems
  • Experience of manufacturing processes
  • Effective communication skills
  • Experience in Internal and/or External Auditing


Preferred Experience

  • Experience within a regulated environment of advanced technology
    (e.g., aerospace, defence, automotive design and manufacturing)
  • Experience of regulatory requirements in an aerospace approved organisation
  • Degree / HND / HNC in Engineering or equivalent
  • ISO 9001:2015 or higher training
  • Experience of Product Conformity Audit
  • H&S in the workplace
  • Experience in training or development of others
