You will oversee the supplier selection process, purchasing and storing of goods and/or services to help us develop our models, full scale prototypes and production aircraft. You’ll ensure that we obtain quality and certifiable products for competitive prices and in a timely fashion - and you will play an integral role in ensuring the company meets its objectives.


Your duties will be wide ranging and varied and will include:

  • Working closely with the Programme Manager to develop a strategy for procuring, storing, and distributing goods or services and maintaining stock levels
  • Working in conjunction with the programme plans to ensure products/services are delivered in line with the programme key milestones
  • Designing or implementing supply chains that support business strategies adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, or cost reduction to compliment the business needs without sacrificing quality or delivery
  • Creating and nurturing relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best price, best quality and to work on strategies to improve supplier lead times
  • Identifying and researching potential new suppliers, products and services in line with the companies design requirements
  • Working closely with Quality Assurance to manage Approved Suppliers Listing, Supplier KPIs, Supplier Audit schedules
  • Implementing and managing the tool control process capturing the registration and calibration requirements and maintain the relationship with calibration suppliers
  • Defining and maintaining Aerospace procurement terms and conditions to discharge the obligation of Design and Production Organisations under EASA Part 21
  • Attending regular meetings to contribute to the development of the company
  • Providing leadership and develop the supply chain team
  • Supporting the company in conjunction with its standards, policies and processes
  • Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time

Basic Qualifications / Experience

  • 2 – 5 years of relevant experience as Procurement Officer, Senior Buyer or Supply Chain Manager within the Aerospace or similar industry
  • You must be a people person who is good at networking
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Supply chain management experience including contract negotiation
  • Working knowledge of MRP systems
  • Strong data analysis and mathematical skills
  • Superior organisational skills
  • Good business instincts and financial analysis skills

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Economics, or a related field
  • CIPS qualified
  • SAP ERP systems or similar
  • A personal interest in aviation and aircraft
