We’re looking for a Stores Operative to join our rapidly growing business. The successful candidate will be a process focussed individual who demonstrates agility and is confident working autonomously in a fast-paced and constantly evolving engineering environment

Initially reporting to the Head of Programmes you will be supporting the business in its inventory function. We are looking for someone with experience in inventory control ideally from an aerospace or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Your duties will be wide ranging and varied and will include:

  • Taking deliveries
  • Goods receipt of purchase orders
  • Stocking of components
  • Delivery of orders to customers internally and externally
  • Resolution of issues that may arise from the good receipting process
  • Picking of parts from created works orders
  • Packing of items being returned to suppliers
  • Monitoring stock levels of consumables and reporting shortages to the purchasing team
  • Completing stock taking when required
  • Managing the filing of delivery notes and paperwork in line with company policy
  • Supporting the company in conjunction with its standards, policies and processes
  • Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time

Basic Qualifications / Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience
  • Experience of working a stores environment, ideally within the aerospace or complex engineering industry
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good level of education
  • IT literate with working knowledge of MS office and ERP systems
  • You will be self-motivated and have excellent time management skills working to deadlines and able to priortise workload to ensure objectives and deadlines are met

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

  • A Levels
  • Qualifications pertaining to inventory management
